A must-stop in Kamaman is the oldest and popular coffeee shop- Hai Peng Kopitiam. Well known for aromatic coffee and charcoal-toasted bread with kaya.

The charcoal-toasted bun had two slabs of cold butter and homemade kaya with their signature columbia coffee. Perfect tea time set after long drive.

If you are there at lunch time, try the pre-packed nasi dagang. But there was no more when we got there. We ordered garlic bread as replacement to nasi dagang.

Kemaman, a town bursting with fresh seafood, you can be rest assured. A signature East Coast dish located at Jalan Sulaiman, Stuffed Crabs. Operated since 1971, by serving the freshest order of the day.

The crab is a deep-fried dish, with its stuffing made from crab meat, onion and carrot.

The crab meat is painstakingly removed and added with chopped turnips and onions. You don't have to crack open any shell with a hammer to get to the meat!

Apart from its signature dish, we ordered a golden fried rice to enjoy to fullness.

This is one of the town's most talked-about eateries. The fare is decent, try to avoid weekends.

Medan Trip: Lake Toba - Largest Volcano Lake in the World

Lake Toba is a beautiful and unique place to visit in Indonesia.
It can be a great place to unwind as Lake Toba is extremely quiet and absent of the usual tourist hordes in places like Bali.

Lake Toba is the largest volcano lake in the world, 100 kilometres long and 30 kilometres wide, and 505 metres at its deepest level.

The island of Samosir is right in the middle of Lake-Toba. This island is the home of the Toba Bataks. Most of the hotels and guesthouses are located in the area of Tuk Tuk on Samosir Island.

Lake Toba can be easily reached from the city of Medan in around 3-4 hours and then travel by land to Parapat(the edge of Lake Toba). Look for Parapat ferry departure point, the ferry will depart every few hours to the different hotels in Tuk Tuk.

There are few hotels in Lake Toba like Hotel Carolina(first stop the ferry come from Parapat), Samosir Cottages(large hotel with good restaurant). Our hotel name is Tabo Cottages, one of the more upmarket places in Lake Toba, it is run by a German lady and her Indonesian husband.

Sin Hup Yik Seafood Restaurant @ Lenggong, Perak

Lenggong is a town in Hulu Perak. The town is located beside Tasik Raban, a freshwater lake. As a result of its proximity to fresh water, Lenggong is popular for its freshwater fish dishes and saito fish balls, Sin Hup Yik Seafood Restaurant is a local favorite for such dishes.

The main dish is steamed waterfish with shredded or sliced ginger topped with a special secret sauce. Ikan Jelawat or Sultan fish is his blue plate signature.

Another must eat dish there, Saito fishball that provides a nice bouncy texture, yummy!! Each saito fish ball cost RM0.60

Yong tau foo that filled with mixed meat inside.

This is my favourite dish, Saito Yu Nam. Combined with the secret sauce, Delicious!

The wild frog is also a popular dish there according to the waitress.

To visit Lenggong,

1.Travelling on PLUS Highway, exit at "Exit 143: Kuala Kangsar". (that's about 3 hours away from Kuala Lumpur)
2.After the toll, travel to Gerik, passing through Lubuk Merbau and Sauk. Lenggong is on the way to Gerik that is 48 km from Kuala Kangsar Toll.

It's a typical old Hainanese coffee shop along Jalan Trus called Kin Wah Restaurant which is well-known for its coffee, toast with homemade kaya and half-boiled eggs. Crowded in the morning and parking is always a problem.

A cup of local coffee and two pieces of toast spread with butter and kaya are perfect match for breakfast or afternoon tea.

The toast is another must-have as Tian's kaya is home-made.

It is hard to miss this kopitiam almost at the end of Jalan Trus in the old section of Johor Bahru city centre. The small shop is so popular that its owner has to put extra tables and chairs on the five-foot walkway.

A new branch that served the same food as the one at The Curve, the new place has a bit more colour with the choice if sofas and brighter lights. Like the other outlet, it also opens out to the outdoors.

Pic above is Grilled Pork Chop, served with canellini beans, basil with streaky bacon and pitted dark cheery sauce. The all-time favourites are still topping the charts and pork knuckles is one example. The crispy pork knuckle with smoked bacon and honey is able to rival even the best of them. Pork lovers' must-try at the outlet is also the pork ribs, which is another hearty meal like the knuckles.

We ordered German Sausage Platter which included of grilled thueringer sausage, emmenthaler, neurenberger cocktail sausage and pork frankfurther. Server with sauteed potato onion relish, crispy bacon, paprika Mayo and garlic mayo.

Besides outlet at Wisma UOA II, you can enjoy the organic pork knuckle and variety sausages at The Curve and Jaya33. A must-try for my next visit is the fresh and aromatic pretzels too.

I've been told that there are 2 places to enjoy the Balinese style Babi Guling in Ubud now. The one that i visited is the newer place and more comfortable compare to the outlet opposite the Ubud Palace.

Babi Guling, roast suckling pig mixed with herbs and spices served on a bed of white rice topped with some crunchy crackle. It another must-try cuisine when travel to Ubud. We ordered Nasi Campur Babi Guling Special for the 25,000 IDR. The taste is not the delicious as I imagined, but it is a dish that you cant miss out when you visit Bali.

Hoong Tho restaurant another Ipoh signature restaurant which is famous with their various fried noodles, dumplings, fried wantons and homemade pastries and cookies, eg. egg tarts, traditional biscuits. The decades old Hoong Tho in old town that is a household name back then for wedding ceremonies, and now inherited by grandchildren. They still doing brisk business serving delicious noodles and fried wantons.

The signature crunchy and delightful dumplings and fried wantons are made with fish paste and served with their selfmade sweet, sour and spicy sauce.

Some of the must-try dishes is Wat Tan Hor - braised flat rice noodles or hor fun, with mixed meats and vegetables, San Har Meen - yee mee with fresh prawn and mixed vegetables. Kwai Far Mee is also another signature dish.

We amanged to visit Balinese's style House after few temples tour for past 2 days. We wander through the Balineshouses to view the carved wooden pillars. The roofs are of bamboo and grass thatch.

Taman Ayun Temple is a Royal Temple of Mengwi Empire with unique temple building and fully decorated by Balinese architecture that make it as famous place to visit in Bali. Taman Ayun is surrounded by beautiful park with trees and ponds. The temple is boardered by broad canals and it can only be entered via a bridge. The entrance fee is rp.3,000 per person.

Tanah Lot is a Balinese Hindu Temple on the rock and the seawater encircles it when the sea water is tide. The area leading to Tanah Lot is highly commercialized and are required to pay to enter the area.

It owns the magnificent view of sunset in the late afternoon. On the mainland cliff tops, restaurants have also been provided for tourists.

Tegalallang rice terrace is located at 5km northern part of Ubud Village where you can catch the glimpse of the beautiful rice terrace. So sad that there is no paddy during our visit on July.

After Tegallalang rice terrace,we continue to our journey to Kintamani where you will amazed with the panorama of Mount Batur Volcano and Lake Batur. There are 2 volcanoes in Bali, Mount Batur and Mount Agung. The buffet there is expensive (IDR75,000) and few variety of food only.

Visit to Coffee Plantation after Mount Batur Volcano, you can try the Luwak Coffee for IDR 30,000. A Luwak is an Asian Palm Civet. They will hunt and eat only the top coffee beans which then pass through their guts undigested. Then, the bean will be washed and processed in the normal fashion to make this highly selected top grade coffee.

Tirta Empul Temple or known as Tampak Siring where tourist can cleanse their body with its holy water in Tampak Siring. Accordingly to tour guide, people who bath with the water will get good luck. The word Tirta means water and Empul means spring. The entrance fee is IDR 15,000.

Jimbaran located on southern of Bali, midway between the airport and Nusa Dua. Widely known for the fresh seafood kiosks that are scattered along the beach. You can catch the glimpse of sunset while enjoying delicious dinner. Although the dinner is quite expensive, but is worth it. Remember to order the set dinner instead of ala-carte. Our set consisted of lobster, prawns, crab, crayfish and clams. There are more than 40 seafood restaurant there, ask your tour guide for recommendation. All the seafood is generally grilled over a fire of coconut husks rather than charcoal.

Eating at Ipoh was so fun as usual but the real fun started when we visited Menglembu. It is a main which traces its origins to its famous groundnuts. You will see a giant peanut when you drive in Menglembu township. Ma Chai "Twins" Chee Cheong Fun (CCF) is one of the must eat food when visit Menglembu. CCF is a dish of hand cut steamed flat rice noodle rolls without any filling.

What is so unique about this CCF? Here you can choose your favourite add-on side dishes such as sambal petai, curry sotong, curry pig's skin, wild boar curry, fried chicken and many more. This dish is garnished with fried shallots and sesame seeds.

This highly-popular stall has been operating since the early 1960s. Business is still thriving as it serves very good food. Located inside a coffee shop named Restoran Wing Kat Fong, opposite of Magnum 4D. It is located at Wai Sik Kai along the way to Kledang Hill.

Apam Balik aka "Dai Gao Min", "Ban Chang Kuih" is Malaysian version of pancake. Light brown crunchy layer on the outer skin, crispy at the crusts, filled with delicious ground peanuts inside, coated with melting hot butter and mount with a thin layer of castor sugar.

This stall is just nearby the Ma Chai Chee Cheong Fun at Menglembu township. Another must-try when visit the palace of groundnuts. The price is RM0.70 per piece, the whole apam balik have 10 pieces.

The five-kilometre long arching sandy stretch of Kuta Beach is still one of the best beach front of Bali. However, this beach is really famous for its breaking sunsets and waist-deep water, and attracts tourists who spend hours here swimming, surfing, sunbathing and kite flying. A perfect beach for surfing beginners.

We went Dreamland Beach located in southern tip of Bali, famous with pristine sea water with beautiful white sandy beach. The surfers simply call it ‘Dream Land’. The area is called Pecatu Indah Resort, mostly is mat salleh staying the resort because the price is quite expensive. You won't allow to step in the hotel if you are not the hotel guest. A very nice place to relax, you will amazed when you been there.

Blue Point, surfers paradise which was famous for the big waves. Whithin Blue Point Villa, they boasts for its glass church and the special-designed outdoor swimming pool. A very romantic white church for your wedding. All the chairs are made by glass. You can only visit the church if you are the villa guest or spending within the villa.

Next point of interest is Uluwatu Temple, a temple on the cliff. Entrance fee is IDR 6,000 per person. Beware of monkeys there, so don't wear any jewelery, hats, accessories, and glasses, hold tightly to your bag and camera.. Another amazing place to visit and you can see quite a number of Japanese there. Kecak Dance is available and the price is IDR 75,000 (if not mistake).

You will definitely impressed with the Uluwatu Cliff scenery.

Our last destination for Day 2 is Jimbaran, catch the glimpse of sunset while enjoying our delicious dinner. But the price for the dinner is quite expensive, remember to order the set instead of ala-carte. There are more than 40 seafood restaurant there, ask your tour guide for recommendation. The gravy was creamy as expected, and the portion of noodles and fish head were generous, so there was hardly anything that I could complain about. Bukit Tambun, a small town south of the mainland Penang for fresh and inexpensive seafood. One of the famous seafood restaurant there is called Gee Seng Seafood. Bukit Tambun is located beside the PLUS toll plaza exiting Bukit Tambun to Juru.

The food here is excellent. There is a wide array of live seafood to choose from.

Wong Tai Sin Temple(黃大仙祠) is one of the most famous shrines in Hong Kong. Wong Tai Sin Temple is located in Wong Tai Sin District, New Kowloon. The area was known as Chuk Yuen in the past, especially before the intake of two Wong Tai Sin Estate.

Some of them start to sell joss sticks as soon as you come out of the MTR.

The temple is currently administrated by Sik Sik Yuen, a Taoist organization in Hong Kong.

Most of the visitors come to the temple in search for a spiritual answer via a practice called Kau Qim. They light incense sticks, kneel before the main altar, make a wish, and shake a bamboo cylinder containing fortune sticks until a stick falls out. This stick is exchanged for a piece of paper bearing the same number.

The soothsayer will interpret the fortune on the paper for the worshiper. Often the same piece of fortune is taken to multiple booths for verification purposes. Some booths offer palm reading and face reading service.

Hong Kong Disneyland, the fifth Disneyland's style park in world. The park is located on reclaimed land in Sunny Bay, Lantau Island. It was opened to visitors on September 12, 2005.

The park currently features four classic themed lands similar to those at other Magic Kingdom-style parks, they are Main Street, U.S.A., Adventureland, Fantasyland and Tomorrowland.

In 2014, Hong Kong Disneyland will include a total of seven themed lands with the addition of Grizzly Trail, Mystic Point and Toy Story Land, which are announced for the expansion of Hong Kong Disneyland. The first new themed land is expected to open in late 2011.

The park was officially opened by Michael D Eisner (CEO of The Walt Disney Company) and Donald Tsang (Chief Executive of Hong Kong S.A.R) on September 12, 2005.

After we landed on Tarzan's Island, we took a short to the base of Tarzan's Tree House. From there, we climbed the treetop home of the "King of Jungle". The walk-through attraction is centered around a giant treehouse where children can hear and see various scenes based on the Disney movie Swiss Family Robinson.

A huge theater where a 30-minute live, broadway-style show inspired by the Disney animated film "The Lion King" is perfomed.

The show uses songs, dance, puppetry and visual effects to create an African savanna setting filled with lions, elephants, giraffes, birds, zebras and gazelles. In this theater environment, Festival of the Lion King is a traveling celebration presented by Simba and his friends, (including a band of four human singers). Dorsett Seaview Hotel is where we stayed. It’s a 3 star hotel. Although the room space is limited but it is clean and new (just renovated when we stayed). HKD430 per night (booked through internet promotion). After a refreshing bath, start our first explore destination @ Tsim Sha Tsui, Kowloon.

Avenue Of Stars, a place to pay tribute to outstanding professionals of Hong Kong's film industry. It features floor plaques, handprints, signature of movie celebrities. Waited for 8pm and finally we get to see ‘A Symphony of Light’ with fireworks (fireworks to celebrate 10th anniversary of HK return to China). Erm, nothing to shout about here.

Bruce Lee - a Chinese American martial artist and actor who is widely regarded as one of the most influential martial artists of the 20th century.

Artist included Andy Lau, Jacky Cheong, Aaron Kwok, Leon Lai and many many more.

Magnificent night view at the harbor. Avenue of Stars - the perfect place to see the renowned skyline of Hong Kong at night, as well as A Symphony of Lights every 8pm.

After a walk from Avenue of Stars, we went to "MongKok旺角", and looking for the famous snacks at "woman street 女人街". Ya, you're right, this is a stinky bean curd "chou dou fu 臭豆腐". Actually the taste isn't that bad, especially if you coat it with source. However, taste is purely subjective, cause its stinky smell is omnipresent...haha..

Curry Fish Balls 咖喱鱼丸, alos is one of the must-eat street food in Hong Kong. There have a lot of places selling in stall or shop along roadside. The curry fish balls is selling on a stick or in bowl, coat with hot curry sauce. It quite cheap, around 8-10HKD. According to hongkie, the most delicious curry fish balls is located at the corner lot beside the Mongkok MTR station.

If you are dessert lover, or is a mango fan like me, you must try this out when visit to Hong Kong. Its really yummy... "Hui Lau Shan许留山" , a famous dessert chain store and you can easily find it at Hong Kong.

This dessert outlet is located opposite our hotel, Dorsett Seaview Hotel.

We tried out a few different kinds of dessert. According to staff, those mangoes are imported from Philippines. Although the desserts are a little pricey (15HKD-50HKD approximately), but the taste is worth it. It will be great if we can enjoy it in Malaysia.

Shabu-shabu (しゃぶしゃぶ) is a Japanese variant of hot pot. The dish is related to sukiyaki in style, where both use thinly sliced meat and vegetables, and usually served with dipping sauces. Its origins are traced back to the Chinese hot pot known as "shuan yang rou". Shabu-shabu is most similar to the original Chinese version when compared to other Japanese steamboat dishes.

Nagomi's signature broth, that gently brings out the flavours of beef while it's being swished. Homemade broth are the soul of Nagomi.

Dipping sauces is a must for shabu-shabu:

Nagomi Goma Sauce is made from ground sesame, spy sauce, kelp stock, sake and sugar, with a combination of 7 different sauces.

Chili sauce is specially concorted to enrich the flavour and the excitement of shabu-shabu especially for Malaysians.

Ponzu sauce is made of soy sauce and juicy pressed from a bitter orange, sweet sake, and kombu(kelp). Recommended with chicken/ duck or salmon/ moguro.

This starter plate come with a nagomi broth. A set fabulous variety of fresh vegetables with oyster mushroom and tofu and cabbage. There are 3 different type of broths available and I strongly recommend try their signature broth.

Nagomi offers few types of shabu-shabu, mainly sliced beef (Wagyu Ribeye or Kobe), chicken and duck meat.

Good morning, it's time to feed my stomach. Decided to have delicious Hong Kong dim sum. My friend recommeded me a new dim sum restaurant in Melaka, Garden Dim Sum located at Bandar Hilir.

Overall, the food is delicious (one of the best dim sum restaurant in Melaka) and the enviroment is clean too. I forgot the address but it is located nearby Tan Kim Hock Product Center, Bandar Hilir.

Satay celup is must try food when you travel to Melaka. The sauce is a mixed of peanut and different type of chilli, is a combination of lok lok and stemboat.

The 3-day programme held in conjunction with PIKOM PC Fair 2009 is aimed to deliver an exciting and relevant IT security experience at no cost.The programme is designed in such a way to provide end user with the knowledge needed to identify IT security threats, including viruses, spyware, crimeware, hackers, phishing, and spam with skills and tools to configure own devices.The ultimate goal of the workshop is to create a community and network of trained IT security individuals is another CSR project by Kaspersky Lab, Malaysia.
